Recordists Notes:
I started recording at 5:15 when it was still dark. The first thing I heard
was a Common Poorwill, very faint but as I homed in on it with my Telinga
it turned out to be fairly close. I made a fairly good recording.
I recorded for about half an hour getting some Crissal Thrashers, Mourning
Doves, Canyon Towhees and Scrub Jays.
Common Poorwil:
Recorded 9/1/01 5:17 am 9 miles west of Prescott, Arizona, U.S.A. in high desert grasslands. Mic was a Telinga twin science 5W 24" parabola, recorded on a Sony MZ-R50 MiniDisc recorder.
Crissal Thrasher: Recorded at same location as above.
